Both defenses have been getting gashed, so this is a good opportunity for both offenses to get going.

That is especially the case for Orlando, who have faced three of the XFL’s best defenses so far.

Orlando go into this game with a 0-4 record after suffering another blowout defeat last weekend.

The Guardians started the season with a road game in Houston and were dominated in a 33-12 defeat.

Things did not getting any better for them in their home opener a week later, as they were beaten 30-12 by San Antonio.

Orlando went back out on the road in Week 3 and although they were able to put the brakes on a bad Arlington offense, they were still beaten 10-9.

The Guardians then fell to 0-4 last week as they returned home for a crushing 44-16 defeat at the hands of Houston.

Vegas Vipers Form

Vegas are the XFL’s other winless team heading into Week 5 of the 2023 season.

The Vipers opened up on the road and got off to a fast start to lead Arlington at half-time of that Week 1 clash.

It all went downhill from there though, as Luis Perez threw two pick sixes and they lost the game 22-20.

Vegas got nothing going a week later as they were beaten 18-6 by DC in their home opener, and in Week 3 they blew a late lead as they fell to a 30-26 defeat to Seattle.

The Vipers then went back out on the road in Week 4 and made a bunch of costly mistakes as they lost 32-18 to DC.

Verdict

These are two bad teams with terrible defenses, so plenty of points are expected here.

This is easily the worst defense that Orlando have faced so far, so the Guardians are backed to at least put up enough points to cover as a sizeable underdog.
