Jeremy Ausmus has secured his position as the PokerGo Tour (PGT) Player of the Year for the 2024 season, adding another accolade to his impressive poker career. 

The poker season of PokerGo Tour (PGT) culminated with Jeremy Ausmus shipping in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship and nailing the PGT Player of the Year title. The $1 Million Championship marks Ausmus' seventh PGT title overall.

PGT Achievements

Ausmus now shares the fifth position for most PGT titles alongside Alex Foxen, Isaac Haxton, and David Peters. His consistent performance has placed him second in all-time PGT points with 7,967, trailing only Stephen Chidwick who holds 8,737 points. Ausmus also ranks third in several other PGT categories:

  • Final table appearances: 59
  • Cashes: 83
  • Total earnings: $13,289,300

Reflecting on his success, Ausmus said, "I love the leaderboard, it really inspires me to play a lot. It's kind of like a video game. You just want to get to the top."

4. Weisman's chip lead diminished, with a crucial hand lost to Ausmus
5. Anderson briefly dominated the final table before Ausmus took control
6. Ausmus entered heads-up play with a commanding lead over Nick Schulman


Final Showdown

The tournament concluded with a dramatic heads-up battle between Ausmus and Schulman. The deciding hand saw Schulman attempt a bluff on the river with a missed straight draw. Ausmus, holding two pair, made the correct call, securing his victory in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

Prize and Future Opportunities

For his triumph, Ausmus received:

  • $500,000 in prize money
  • A $350,000 PGT Passport for future events
