Travel restrictions mean the bulk of the Main Event 2020 is taking place online, and only 18 players will make it to the live tables.

With the WSOP.com and GGPoker tournaments running on different days, not all 18 players will be playing at the same time this year. However, the winner of the domestic US and International tournaments are slated to meet at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for a televised showdown on December 30th, 2020, subject to travel regulations.

In addition to prize monies won by entrants in their respective tournament, WSOP and GGPoker have committed an additional $1million to the winner of the Heads-Up match along with the Main Event championship bracelet and the title of 2020 World Champion.
