The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2025 will kick off on May 27 and run till July 16 with a record-setting 100 events. Below is a quick guide to the WSOP 2025.

The highly anticipated WSOP 2025 will run from May 27 to July 16. The live series which offers 100 bracelet events will see the return of several popular tournaments along with some new additions to the WSOP 2025 full schedule.

WSOP 2025 Full Schedule

The WSOP 2025 full schedule was revealed by WSOP and GGPoker, with buy-ins ranging from $300 to $250K. While there will be fewer freezeout events compared to previous years, six new events have been listed.

One newly introduced tournament that stands out is the TORSE event, a variation of HORSE. The newer events also include names like $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, $100,000 PLO tournament and a $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed 8-Handed event.

The $1,500 Mixed Bomb Pot Double event, first launched in 2024, will now be played exclusively in PLO format.

A new tournament called ‘Battle of the Ages’ is added to the schedule as a two-day event, dividing players into two age categories: those over 50 and those under 50, with a $1,000 buy-in.

Events which are scrapped in the current edition include names like Flip & Go by GGPoker, The Champions Reunion Freezeout, and the $3,000 HORSE event.

While most WSOP tournaments do not offer guaranteed prize pools, there’s an exception to the rule. The Gladiators of Poker NLH event comes with a prize pool of $3 million.

The Millionaire Maker and Mystery Millions events will not have guaranteed pools but will guarantee a $1 million first-place payout.

Popular returning events include the Mystery Millions and Gladiators of Poker, with some events undergoing minor name changes, such as the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em event being rebranded as Industry Employees event.

Online Qualifiers for WSOP 2025

Online qualifiers for the WSOP 2025 Main Event are now available for U.S. and international players via WSOP Online and GGPoker.

In the United States, promotions are active in New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, offering players a chance to qualify for the Main Event at much lower costs.

International players can qualify via GGPoker. The online poker room has sent over 1,000 players to the Main Event in 2024. Given the record-breaking attendance last year, efforts are being made to boost the number of qualifiers in 2025.

Direct qualifiers and step satellites are also available, with lowest buy-in priced at $1 (freeroll options available).

Online Qualifiers for Players in Specific U.S. States

Pennsylvania: WSOP Online is the only poker site offering WSOP live event packages for Pennsylvania players. Monthly promotions allow players to qualify for the Main Event

New Jersey, Nevada, and Michigan: These states share an online poker player pool via WSOP Online, enabling players to compete in a bigger field.

Monthly freerolls and $215 buy-in satellite tournaments are available, with guaranteed Main Event seats. Feeder satellites starting at $10 make for lucrative qualifiers.

Online Qualifiers for Ontario and International Players

Ontario: The Road to Vegas promotion by GGPoker is running on the site, offering players a chance to earn Main Event packages.

Ontario players must be at least 19 years old to participate online, but for players to grind in Nevada, they need to be at least 21 years old.

International Markets: GGPoker is the primary platform for non-U.S. players seeking WSOP seats.
Step-qualifiers begin at $1, with direct Main Event packages available every Sunday, guaranteeing at least 15 packages.

WSOP 2025 Main Event

The WSOP 2025 Main Event is scheduled for the first week of July. The tournament will feature four starting day flights.

While the final prize structure is not confirmed, the first-place payout is expected to be around $10 million, with around 15% of the player field receiving a minimum cash prize of $15,000.

With a packed schedule and abundant qualifiers, WSOP 2025 is set to be one of the most competitive poker series to date.
