Labour's odds of winning the upcoming Batley and Spen by-election are on the drift with bookmaker Ladbrokes.
Having been as short as 2/1 for a victory at the end of last week, the bookies now make candidate Kim Leadbeater 5/2 for the win, with Ryan Stephenson (Conservatives) beginning to pull away in the betting at 2/7.
Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati told FreeTips.com: "Punters were seemingly convinced Labour would claim victory in the Batley and Spen By-election late last week, but the latest odds suggest it's the Conservatives to lose."
The Workers Party are next in the betting at time of writing and can be backed at 50/1.
