Dominic Cummings Betting Odds and Specials - Will he be sacked before June 1st?

Dominic Cummings looks set to remain in his position as a special adviser to Boris Johnson after receiving the backing of the British Prime Minister - and bookmakers agree.

Cummings has come under fire to quit, or be sacked, after allegedly breaking lockdown rules during the coronavirus pandemic to take his family to a family property 260 miles away from his London home.

Johnson stood behind his aide despite calls for him to be sacked, and bookmakers Paddy Power and William Hill are confident that will remain the case into next month (June).

Both have framed markets on whether Cummings will depart before the end of May with Paddy Power making it 7/4 that he is ousted and William Hill going 6/4 that Johnson does a u-turn and sacks his special advisor.

It is 2/5 (Paddy Power) and 1/2 (William Hill) that Cummings remains in his post.

Smarkets have a similar market, but whether or not Cummings will be gone by July. It is 14/5 he is still in his role into July, and 2/11 that he will lose his job as Johnson's aide before the end of July 1.

In another Smarkets market, Cummings is a 2/5 favourite to depart his role with the government before Priti Patel's days as Home Secretary are numbered. Patel is 7/5 to leave office before Cummings.
