Liz Truss just 9/2 to go as Prime Minister next year
- Liz Truss has been confirmed as the new Prime Minister
- Ladbrokes 5/6 that Truss lasts until 2025 at least
- New PM 16/1 to be gone from No. 10 before the end of this year
Liz Truss has only just been named the new Prime Minister, but the bookies are already pricing up when she will depart the role.
Truss was confirmed as Boris Johnson’s replacement on Monday, beating Rishi Sunak to the top job.
While she is 16/1 not to see out 2022/, Ladbrokes is as short as 9/2 that Truss is no longer Prime Minister at the end of 2023.
It is 2/1 that she departs Number 10 before the end of 2024, while it is odds-on at 5/6 that she lasts until 2025.
“Liz Truss probably hasn't even unpacked her belongings at Number 10, but we've already priced up exactly when she'll get the boot,” Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati told FreeTips.com.
“As things stand it looks like she's very much here to stay, with 2025 or later being the most likely time of exit.”
