Liz Truss has pulled even further ahead in the race to become the next leader of the Conservative Party, according to the bookmakers.

Truss and Rishi Sunak are locked in a two-way battle to replace Boris Johnson, and Ladbrokes expect the former to come out on top.

Having been as big as 10/1 earlier this month, the bookies now make Truss the clear favourite at 3/10 to get the gig.

Sunak ins now a 5/2 shot as things stand.

“Liz Truss' odds of replacing Boris are at record lows,” Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati told FreeTips.com.

“We're only expecting them to shorten even further at this point.”
