Next Conservative Party Leader Odds – Bookies boost odds on Sunak or Javid replacing Johnson
- Rishi Sunak & Sajid Javid resigned from roles on Tuesday
- Pressure mounting on Conservative Party leader Boris Johnson
- bet365 offer boosted odds on Sunak or Javid to take over
Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid are the subject of special price boosts after resigning from their government roles.
Sunak and Javid rocked the Conservative Party when they tendered their resignations in the space of less than an hour on Tuesday night.
Sunak stepped down as Chancellor, while Javid walked away from his role of Health Secretary.
Both men made the decision in the wake of yet another scandal that has engulfed the party, heaping more pressure on Boris Johnson to step down as leader.
That pressure only increased on Wednesday as Johnson took a verbal beating during Prime Minister’s Questions while more resignations poured in.
The Tory leader has vowed to fight on, but with his position getting shakier and shakier with every resignation, the bookies are offering odds on potential replacements.
And not only are bet365 offering odds, they have also boosted the prices for the two men who sparked the wave of resignations.
Sunak is 11/2 to become the next Conservative Party leader, with Javid priced up at 11/1 by the firm.
These enhancements are available to all eligible new and existing customers, with winnings to be paid in cash.
