Boris Johnson Cut To 6/1 To Be Replaced As Prime Minister This Year
- Boris Johnson cut from 7/1 to 6/1 to go this year
- Johnson's odds cut in wake of Dominic Cummings revelations
- Rishi Sunak still bookies' pick to replace Johnson
The odds of Boris Johnson being replaced as Prime Minister this year have been slashed by the bookies.
Johnson had been 7/1 to go in 2021 following former aide Dominic Cumming’s explosive meeting with the Select Committee on Wednesday.
But following a flurry of support for Johnson to go this year, Ladbrokes has cut his odds to 6/1.
It is now 4/1 that the former London Mayor is done as PM before the end of 2022.
However, it is odds-on at 2/5 that Johnson is still in charge of the country until at least January 1, 2023.
“Political punters are continuing to back Boris to be out of a job sooner rather than later,” Ladbrokes’ Jessica O'Reilly told FreeTips.com.
Rishi Sunak is the 5/2 favourite with the bookies to swap No.11 Downing Street for No.10 and become next Prime Minister.
