After Rishi Sunak unveiled his 'mini-budget' on Wednesday, bookmakers Ladbrokes reacted by making him 4/1 to become the next Prime Minister.

Shortly after the Chancellor of the Exchequer unveiled his summer statement, the bookies responded by revealing he is now 4/1 second-favourite in the betting to replace Boris Johnson as PM - behind only Keir Starmer (2/1).

Mr Sunak had been as big as 250/1 to be the next Prime Minister shortly before he landed the job of Chancellor.
