Next Prime Minister Odds – Keir Starmer favourite as bookies slash Boris Johnson exit odds
- Boris Johnson 2/1 to be replaced as PM this year
- Ladbrokes make Keir Starmer 3/1 favourite to be next PM
- Rishi Sunak out to 8/1 after lockdown fine
Boris Johnson’s odds of being replaced as Prime Minister have been slashed following the latest ‘Partygate’ revelations.
Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak have both been fined for attending in illegal parties during COVID-19 lockdowns.
Having been a 3/1 shot at the start of Tuesday, Ladbrokes now make it 2/1 that Johnson is sent packing from Downing Street before the end of 2022.
It is equally bad news for Sunak, whose odds of replacing Johnson in Downing Street have taken a hit this afternoon, from 7/1 to 8/1.
Keir Starmer is now the 3/1 favourite to be the next Prime Minister, ahead of 6/1 Liz Truss.
“There could well be another party in Downing Street in the next few months if the latest odds are anything to go by,” Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati told FreeTips.com.
“Labour leader Keir Starmer is pulling away from the chasing pack in the race to replace the seemingly exit-bound Boris Johnson."
