Brisbane Broncos pulled off the upset of the season when defeating the Roosters 34-16 in Sydney last weekend.

It was a notable turn around in fortunes for Kevin Walters' team, who had suffered an embarrassing 50-6 defeat to Manly Sea Eagles at Suncorp Stadium the previous weekend.

The Broncos have improved of late, winning two of their last four matches. They were 36-28 winners over Gold Coast Titans before losing by a point to North Queensland Cowboys.

After being dropped last week, Anthony Milford is recalled by the Broncos following the suspension of Tyson Gamble.

Albert Kelly returned to NRL last week with an impressive performance, and moves to halfback this week to accommodate the return of Milford.

Matt Lodge is also suspended this week, meaning Rhys Kennedy comes into the Broncos' front row.

There will be an NRL debut for Teui Robati after he was named on the bench following Kennedy's promotion to the run on side.

Herbie Farnsworth is back in the centres at the expense of Dale Copley. Kotoni Staggs (knee) and Alex Glenn (calf) could be back next week.

Melbourne Storm Form


Melbourne Storm have won their last eight matches in a row, and covered the handicap in each of them.

Craig Bellamy's side extended their winning run with a 34-10 victory over the Canberra Raiders last weekend to sit second behind only the unbeaten Penrith Panthers.

Storm have been wracking up the points despite some key absentees with injuries.

In the last five weeks, they have scored at least 34 points. They lead the scoring charts with 370 points this season.

Kenny Bromwich is ruled out with a hamstring injury once again so Tom Eisenhuth remains in the starting line-up.

Jahrome Hughes is available after recovering from a calf injury and returns to the Storm halves. Cooper Johns drops to the bench having come in late for Hughes against the Canberra Raiders.

Ryan Papenhuyzen remains sidelined due to concussion and will miss up to another four weeks. Harry Grant (hamstring) and Cameron Munster (foot) are still out.
