Canterbury Bulldogs vs St George Illawarra Dragons Predictions

The Bulldogs are running dead last, having notched just one win all year. The Dragons are in a slump their own with the two latest victories coming against the two worst teams of 2020 – Brisbane and Canterbury.

The Dragons are tipped to get the better of the Bulldogs once again.

  • Canterbury Bulldogs have lost 11 of their 12 games this season.
  • Canterbury Bulldogs have now won 5 of their past 34 NRL games.
  • St George Illawarra Dragons have won 4 of their last 5 matches against Canterbury Bulldogs.
  • St George Illawarra Dragons won 32-12 when the sides met in Round 9.

There have been 41 games between these teams, with the Bulldogs recording 25 wins to the Dragons' 15.

The Bulldogs and Dragons share the honours evenly over their ten most recent clashes, recording five wins apiece. At ANZ Stadium, the Bulldogs also have the upper hand, winning 13 games to the Dragons' eight.

The Dragons were 32-12 winners when these sides met in Round 9.

Canterbury Bulldogs Form

One word – dire. They are last on the ladder, have the worst attack producing just over 11 points per game and have the second worst defence conceding an average of 30 points per game.

Their only win this year came against a Cronulla Sharks side reeling from their coach being replaced a week prior and with some key personnel missing.

Even still in that game, the Dogs needed to score in the dying stages of the game to get the win.

Jeremy Marshall-King returns and will line up at hooker. Sione Katoa returns from suspension on the bench.

Raymond Faitala-Mariner is due back in at least a month's time. Christian Crichton will miss the rest of the year.

St George Illawarra Dragons Form

After dropping the Round 1 game to Cronulla Sharks, the Dragons went on an impressive run beating North Queensland Cowboys, Manly Sea Eagles, Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels.

Since then it has been slim pickings for the Dragons as they’ve lost six of eight games, scoring wins over the Bulldogs in Round 9 and the Broncos last weekend.

Their attack has been amiss since the injury to centre Zac Lomax and their defence has been patchy at best of late.

Zac Lomax is due to return next weekend, with Josh McGuire and Tyrrell Fuimaono both suspended for another two games.
