Last weekend against the Titans, Cronulla were stifled in their attack, seeming to give up the ball every time they started to gain momentum.

Their opposition had pretty much scored two tries before they had any decent ball themselves with Possession skewed 37% - 63% in favour of Gold Coast in the first half.

Things evened out in the 2nd term as they generally do but the Sharks could not find the spark needed to bust the Titans goal line defence despite 42 Tackles attacking the line.

Sione Katoa returns from concussion protocols and takes his spot on the wing but with Nicho Hynes injuring himself at training this week Daniel Atkinson moves from the wing directly into the five-eighth role with Braydon Trindall going to halfback.

Teig Wilton is in at backrower for the suspended Siosifa Talakai and Toby Rudolf is again named on the bench despite being resigned to the reserves prior to kick off last weekend. Braden Hamlin-Uele and Jesse Colquhoun replace Jack Williams and Thomas Hazelton on the bench.

The Tigers were on a bit of a roll in Rounds 15 & 16 but over the last two weekends of footy have allowed their opponent to score 40 on both occasions.

The performances coincide with Wests lack of consistency this season and is the main reason they are at the bottom of the table heading into this weekend.

The Tigers once again had a mountain of Tackles Inside 20m of their opponent but could not convert their chances at the same rate with the Storm simply outscoring them on the day. Wests missed 32 Tackles and committed 11 Errors in the game.

Justin Olam seems to be in and out of this team on a week to week basis, again being left out of the squad. Alex Lobb is the new winger with Solomona Faataape at centre.

David Klemmer is named at starting prop after a shift from the bench just before the start of the game last weekend. Fonua Pole is the lock with Stefano Utoikamnu the other front row forward.

Reuben Porter is a new addition to the bench with Justin Matamua the 18th man.
