New Zealand Warriors Form


The Warriors' form this year has been inconsistent at best with a 2-3 record heading into Round 6. 

They surprised a much-hyped Gold Coast Titans in Round 1 with a brilliant 19-6 victory. The Warriors remained very strong in Round 2 despite losing 20-16 to the Newcastle Knights.

In Round 3, the Warriors staged an amazing comeback to defeat Canberra Raiders on the siren 34-31. 

But the following week, the Roosters comfortably disposed of the Warriors 32-12 in Round 4 and last weekend they lost to Manly by one point in a rather dire game with a thrilling finale.

The Warriors have five players unavailable due to injury. 

Bayley Sironen is set to return next weekend from his shoulder injury, while Euan Aitken is set to be out for another 4-5 weeks. 

Chanel Harris-Tavita will be out until Round 14 as he recovers from a foot injury and prop Addin Fonua-Blake may not be available until Round 20 due to a knee injury. 

Winger David Fusitu’a has a hamstring injury is set to be out for a few weeks.

Bunty Afoa returns this week on the bench, Peta Hiku is back on the wing in place of Fusitu’a. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown and Eliesa Katoa are both out of the 17, but available to play.
