The Knights have won their last two games against the Dragons. But it is just the second time they’ve won back-to-back games against the joint venture outfit.

  • Newcastle Knights trail St George Illawarra Dragons 27-13 in the historical head to head.
  • Newcastle Knights have won just 5 of 22 home matches against St George Illawarra Dragons.

  • St George Illawarra Dragons have won their last 2 matches.

There have been 40 games between the Knights and Dragons with Newcastle winning 13 games to the Dragons 27.

The Dragons have won 21 of their last 29 games against the Knights dating back to 2004.

The last two clashes have seen the Knights rack up big wins, however, by 45-12 in 2019 and 42-18 in 2020.

The Knights opened their season solidly with a 32-16 over the struggling Canterbury Bulldogs in Round 1.

Newcastle backed up with a 20-16 win against the New Zealand Warriors in Round 2.

Last weekend, the Knights celebrated Mitchell Pearce’s 300th game against the winless Wests Tigers.

But the Knights were unable to record a third straight game as they fell 24-20.
