Head to Head

Melbourne Storm have a 16-6 advantage against Gold Coast Titans.

Melbourne have won nine of the last 10 encounters including 42-6 last season.

Melbourne Storm Form

Melbourne have won their last nine games and are regularly winning by big margins. The Storm have won by 22+ points in their last six games.

Craig Bellamy's side beat South Sydney 50-0, St George Illawarra 44-18 and followed up with a 34-10 win in Canberra.

Melbourne crushed Brisbane 40-12 last week. They did it with a 70% completion rate, making 8-1 line breaks with Nicho Hynes creating havoc from fullback.

Gold Coast Titans Form

Gold Coast have lost five of their last seven games. Just when you think they have turned a corner, they throw in a shocker.

The Titans beat Wests Tigers 36-28 before a 48-12 loss to the Panthers. They then beat Canterbury 30-20 before a 38-10 loss against Cronulla.

Brian Kelly opened the scoring against the Sharks but it was downhill from there. They missed a massive 49 tackles in a game to forget.

Gold Coast Titans Injuries & Team News

Gold Coast are missing four players due to Origin including AJ Brimson, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, David Fifita and Moeaki Fotuaika. That’s a huge loss.

Verdict

Melbourne have shown they can perform without many of their star players. The same can’t be said for the Titans who are in line for a heavy defeat.

Melbourne’s Brandon Smith has scored five tries in his last four games and worth backing in the tryscorer markets.
