2022 NRL Grand Final First Tryscorer Tips

Best Bet - Brian To'o

To'o has been in flying form with 11 tries in his last 12 matches, including a try in both finals to get Penrith into the Grand Final.

The Panthers wing signed off his regular season with a double against New Zealand Warriors in Round 24 before sitting out the final match against North Queensland Cowboys.

In the Qualifying Final, To'o scored twice against the Parramatta Eels - including the opening try - and was also among the scorers against South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Preliminary Final win last week.

On his current form, he deserves to be the favourite to get the opening try at Accor Stadium.

Value Bet - Maika Sivo

Maika Sivo scored the match winning try last week as the Eels defeated North Queensland Cowboys 24-20 in the Preliminary Final.

It took the winger's total to 67 tries in 82 NRL games and was his 13th try of the 2022 season. That was a fair effort from a campaign which didn't start until Round 14 following knee reconstruction.

Sivo has been a constant source of tries over the last four seasons and has impressed in a delayed campaign this year. He is the Eels' biggest threat and value for the opening try.
