Parramatta Eels vs Canberra Raiders Predictions

Head to Head

The Eels and the Raiders have met 60 times with Canberra edging a 31-29 head to head record.

Parramatta have won their last three games against Canberra, including a 35-10 victory in the capital in Round 6 this year.

Parramatta Eels Form

Parramatta Eels bounced back from defeat with a workmanlike 26-8 win over Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium last weekend.

The Eels has suffered a heart-breaking 13-12 loss to second placed Penrith Panthers in the previous game.

A win on Thursday will lift Parramatta back into third spot and all but lock in a double chance. The Eels also still have outside thoughts on making the top two.

Parramatta Eels Team News

The Eels are without Mitchell Moses after he was diagnosed with a back fracture following State of Origin Game 3.

Jake Arthur will retain the halfback role having deputised last week.

Parramatta have also lost Tom Opacic to injury with Will Penisini replacing him in the centres as he makes his debut.

There is a recall for Blake Ferguson after two months on the sidelines. He comes in for Haze Dunster, who drops to the reserves.

Canberra Raiders Form

The previously mis-firing Raiders have surged back into the finals picture following successive wins over Manly Sea Eagles and Cronulla Sharks.

The Green Machine beat a weakened Sea Eagles side 30-16 in Round 17 and followed it up with a 34-18 victory over the Sharks last weekend.

Canberra are now just win one away from the top eight. Victory over the Eels would see the Raiders move back into the finals spots for the first time since Round 10.

Canberra Raiders Team News

Xavier Savage has been ruled out for the season due to a shoulder injury, so Jordan Rapana moves to fullback.

There is also an enforced change at five-eighth with Jack Wighton out with a rib injury and Matt Frawley replacing him.

Harley Smith-Shields takes Rapana's place on the wing and Matt Timoko has been added to the Raiders bench this week.
