The Eels host the Tigers on Thursday to kick off NRL Round 11 of the 2020 NRL season, with both teams looking to win for very different reasons.

The Eels relinquished top spot on the ladder for the first time since the season restart, going down narrowly to the Sea Eagles while a Wests thumping of Brisbane has the Tigers well and truly back into finals contention.

Eels Form & Team News

The Eels gave up top spot on the ladder following a narrow four point loss to the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday night. Parramatta conceded four of the first five tries scored in the match, and despite scoring two in the final ten minutes to make it interesting, never looked a winning threat.

In a huge boost for the Eels, Blake Ferguson returns on the wing, superstar Mitch Moses is back at halfback while Ryan Matterson in the back row.

Eels vs Tigers Match Up

Reed Mahoney and Harry Grant is the key match up here.

The Eels rake, one of the NRL's best defensive hookers, faces a mighty challenge containing one of 2020's biggest revelations. Grant has played so well since his loan swap from Melbourne was approved that he has forced his way into Maroons Origin discussions.

Mahoney put together 63 tackles against Manly but will have to put in an equally sterling defensive shift if Parramatta are to nullify the dynamic Wests Tigers dummy-half's impact.
