Wayne Bennett's side have bounced back emphatically from defeat to Penrith Panthers a month ago to sit third on the ladder with a 12-3 record.

The Rabbitohs beat Parramatta Eels 38-20, won 24-10 over the Newcastle Knights and thumped Brisbane Broncos 46-0 in Round 15.

Last week, Souths ran in another seven tries as they defeat Wests Tigers 38-22.

South Sydney Rabbitohs Team News


Latrell Mitchell, Dane Gagai, Cameron Murray, Jai Arrow and Damien Cook are all unavailable due to State of Origin duties.

Blake Taaffe will start in the fullback role for Mitchell, and Braidon Burns takes Gagai's place in the centres.

Prop Thomas Burgess comes in for Murray with Hame Sele shifting to lock.

Jaydn Su'A replaces Arrow and Benji Marshall takes on Cook's hooker role.

Patrick Mago and Peter Mamouzelos are added to the Souths bench. Jaxson Paulo is named in the reserves after a wrist injury.

North Queensland Cowboys Form


The Cowboys' season has hit a bump in the road with three straight defeats following last week's 38-0 loss at Newcastle Knights.

It was a second 30+ point loss for Todd Payten’s side having also gone down 50-18 away to Manly Sea Eagles three weeks ago.

Sandwiched in between was another defeat, although the Cowboys were more competitive at home in Townsville as they lost 26-24 to Cronulla Sharks.

Away from home, the Cowboys have lost four in a row.

North Queensland Cowboys Team News


The Cowboys lose Valentine Holmes to Origin once again, with Daejarn Asi coming into the side.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has also received an Origin call-up, but his absence is covered by the return of Connolly Lemuelu from a thumb injury.

Kyle Feldt has been omitted from the Queensland Origin squad and he will start on the wing.

Francis Molo is away on Origin duties with Tom Gilbert added to the bench in his place.
