Canberra Raiders Form

The Raiders' surge towards the finals stalled last week when they were beaten 34-24 by the Newcastle Knights at Suncorp Stadium.

Ricky Stuart's side had beaten Manly Sea Eagles 30-16, Cronulla Sharks 34-18 and Parramatta Eels 12-10 in the previous three games.

That run ended when they dropped the game to finals rivals the Knights in Brisbane.

Canberra remain in ninth spot, level with Gold Coast Titans and the Sharks who occupy the last two finals spots.

Canberra have named Ryan Sutton at lock following a chest injury, although he will still need a late decision to get the go ahead.

Sebastian Kris is also out with Matt Timoko taking his place in the centres.

Iosia Soliola is dropped with Elijah Anderson joining the bench for what will be in NRL debut.

Dunamis Lui has been named among the reserves and could make his comeback from a calf injury.

St George Illawarra Dragons Form

Despite losing three in a row, the Dragons remain in the finals picture sitting in 10th spot and level with the three teams immediately above them.

Since recording back-to-back wins over the Raiders 22-20 and New Zealand Warriors 19-18, Anthony Griffin's side have lost three straight and slipped out of the eight.

They went down 32-18 to Manly Sea Eagles in Round 18 and 32-10 to Gold Coast Titans the following week.

Last weekend, it was a no contest as they were run ragged by South South Rabbitohs in a heavy 50-12 loss.

St George Illawarra Dragons Team News

Jack Bird, Jack de Belin, Blake Lawrie, Zac Lomax and Josh McGuire all return for the Dragons.

Bird returns at full-back pushing Tyrell Sloan out of the side altogether. Lomax comes into the centres along with Cody Ramsey, who is available after injury.

Corey Norman shifts to five-eighth in place of Jayden Sullivan, while Adam Clune comes into the half-back role for captain Ben Hunt, who is out for up to a month after suffering a fracture to his arm.

Gerard Beale is also banned with the Mikaele Ravalawa, himself returning from suspension, taking his place on the wing.

Matt Dufty is named among the reserves but is unlikely to come into the side late.
