A position inside the top-eight is on the line this Friday as the Rabbitohs face off against the Tigers in Sydney.

Souths put the Dogs to the sword last week while the Tigers conceded a try in the final eight minutes to go down to the Panthers in a gripping encounter.

Both teams are locked on four wins each and a victory on Friday will go a long way to securing a finals berth as the top-eight race begins to tighten.

Rabbitohs Form & Team News

The Bunnies were back to their brilliant best against the Bulldogs last week, scoring a try within the opening three minutes before crossing the line a further three times to record a comfortable 26-10 win. It was Alex Johnston who again was the architect, scoring the first try to extend his try scoring run to five-straight games.

Centre Braidon Burns is out due to a season-ending knee injury, while Bayley Sironen returns from a minor back complaint on the bench.

Tigers Form & Team News

The Tigers will view last week's game against the Panthers as an opportunity lost after leading into the halftime break before conceding two second half tries to lose it. As a consequence, Wests are only inside the top-eight on points difference and could slip as low as 12th if results go against them.

Michael Chee-Kam moves to centre for the suspended Joey Leilua with Chris Lawrence called up on the bench. Moses Mbye, Luciano Leilua and Sam McIntyre have all been named and are expected to play.
