Trent Robinson’s side were brought down to earth with a 26-16 defeat to the Rabbitohs. They trailed 24-0 which was too much to overcome.

The Roosters won 32-12 against the Warriors at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday. They led 16-12 at half time and went on with the job, keeping New Zealand scoreless in the second half.

Trent Robinson has named the same starting side that defeated the Warriors. 

Lindsay Collins (concussion) is out but Daniel Suluka-Fifita (suspension) has been named in the reserves. Sitili Tupuniua (concussion) is in doubt but has been named in the second-row. 

Star playmaker Luke Keary (knee) is ruled out for the season after rupturing his ACL. Lachlan Lam (knee) is out until round 9 with Sam Walker and Drew Hutchison continuing in the halves.

Jake Friend recently retired and Boyd Cordner remains out indefinitely due to concussion.

Cronulla Sharks Form


Cronulla started the season by beating the Dragons 32-18 in Kogarah. The Sharks completed 88% of their sets, conceded 1 penalty and dominated field position.

John Morris’ side went down 12-10 against Canberra with Chad Townsend missing all three attempts at goal.

Jesse Ramien (suspension) is back at center which sees Connor Tracey revert to the bench and Braydon Trindall miss out. 

Ronaldo Mulitalo (knee) and Josh Dugan (concussion) are both expected to play despite failing to finish last week's game.

Briton Nikora (suspension) is out for another week after accepting a two-match ban for a shoulder charge. Teig Wilton continues in the back row.

Forwards Royce Hunt (knee) and Siosifa Talakai (shoulder) had their returns pushed back to round 7.

Star playmaker Shaun Johnson (Achilles) is scheduled to return in rounds 7-8. Jackson Ferris (foot) is expected back in round 10.

Former NSW prop Andrew Fifita is still trying to get into the squad with questions surrounding his fitness.
