Gold Coast Titans vs Parramatta Eels Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

The Gold Coast Titans are aiming to snap a run of 12 straight NRL defeats as they host the Parramatta Eels at Cbus Super Stadium. The Titans improved their defence after half time in Round 1 and the Eels held the Bulldogs to 2 points.

Gold Coast Titans Form

The Gold Coast Titans suffered a 24-6 defeat to the Raiders in Canberra in Round 1. Down 18-0 at half time, Anthony Don’s try got Justin Holbrook’s side back in the game but they were unable to find a follow-up.

The Titans’ completion rate was 69% (25/36) but they managed just two line breaks and missed 45 tackles. It was a decent effort to hold the Raiders to 6-6 in the second half.

The Titans have not won a match since Round 13 last season, losing a club record 12 straight matches.

Titans vs Eels Match Up

The halves could be the decisive match up in this match. Titans halfback Ash Taylor had a strong preseason, improved in the second half in Canberra but is likely to be targeted in defence.

Eels halfback Mitch Moses failed to make his mark against the Bulldogs. The winner of the halfback battle will go a long way to deciding who comes out on top.
