Gold Coast Titans vs Newcastle Knights Predictions

Gold Coast Titans are heavy favourites here but I think the short price is misguided. I am backing Newcastle Knights with the +10.5 handicap.

  • Gold Coast Titans have won 7 of their last 9 games.
  • Gold Coast Titans have won their last 5 home games against Newcastle Knights.
  • Newcastle Knights have lost 4 of their last 6 games.

Newcastle Knights have a 12-11 advantage against Gold Coast Titans in 23 games.

Gold Coast Titans Form

Gold Coast started the season with a disappointing 19-6 defeat to the Warriors on the Central Coast. The Titans bounced back with a 28-16 win against the hapless Broncos.

Justin Holbrook’s side went back to back with a big win in Townsville. Gold Coast won 44-8 against the Cowboys after making 11 line breaks and scoring seven tries.

The Titans went down 20-4 against the Raiders at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday. They completed 68% of their sets for the second straight game.

I think the Titans are overpriced here. Their two wins have come against lowly Brisbane and North Queensland.

Newcastle are being written off but they have a strong pack, useful replacement and can keep this close.
