Wales will be looking to get their first win in seven matches when they face Georgia at the Parc Y Scarlets in the Autumn Nations Cup on Saturday. The hosts are in shocking form but they shouldn’t have too many problems seeing off Georgia.

Wales finished fourth at the 2019 Rugby World Cup but the departure of coach Warren Gatland has seen a bit of a fall from grace. New coach, Wayne Pivac is under immense pressure to get the team back on track after overseeing a six-match losing streak.
A fifth place finish in the recently completed Six Nations is not what the Welsh would have been looking for. Prior to their Six Nations campaign resuming post pandemic, Wales also lost 38-21 to France.
Last week Wales got their Autumn Nations Cup off to the worst possible start, suffering a 32-9 defeat in Dublin against Ireland.

Georgia shouldn’t threaten Wales too much but with the first choice players performing so poorly, it must be a concern that they are giving players a rest.
James Botham is expected to make his debut after being called up this week. We will know more once the teams are announced. Liam Williams should keep his place at full-back as he works his way back to his best form.

Georgia have not played a lot of rugby of late, with just one friendly match against Scotland under their belts before facing England last week. The Scots won that match 48-7 at Murrayfield.
The Georgians defeated Portugal, Belgium, Spain and Romania prior to lockdown but those results don’t hold much water against the quality in the Autumn Nations Cup.
Last week Georgia went down 40-0 at Twickenham against England. This is about gaining experience for them and they will surely fancy their chances of a better performance in Wales this week.
