Head to Head

In 39 meetings, Bath have won 20 to Gloucester's 17. Bath have beaten them twice this season, once by 24 points and the other by 16.

Bath Form

Bath produced an excellent first-half display against Pau in their recent round of 16 European Challenge Cup match, scoring four converted tries to lead 28-10 at the break.

Bath continued to score points in the second stanza, adding three converted tries to beat Pau 49-24 away from home.

Before that victory, Bath had defeated the Bedford Blues 43-26, Ampthill 50-7, the Harlequins 39-28, Gloucester 42-26, and the Harlequins 47-28 in their previous five home fixtures in all competitions.

Bath will fancy their chances against Gloucester after beating their opponents five times in a row, including twice at home. Additionally, they have won seven consecutive fixtures at home.

Bath Team News & Injuries

Flanker Sam Underhill has received a three-week ban following his red card against Pau in the EPCR Challenge Cup.

Will Muir, Joe Cokanasiga, Beno Obano, Josh Bayliss, Tom Dunn, Ruaridh McConnochie, and Miles Reid scored a try each against Pau last weekend.

Ciaran Donoghue slotted seven conversions in the match.

Gloucester Form

Gloucester scored two converted tries in the first half against Montpellier in their round of 16 EPCR Challenge Cup encounter last weekend but went into the break trailing 17-14.

Gloucester did not concede any points in the second half, adding a converted try and penalty to their tally to record a 24-17 away win over Montpellier.

Gloucester lost 55-17 to Bayonne, beat the Cornish Pirates 26-19, and defeated the Exeter Chiefs 22-14 before losing 22-17 to Newcastle and 42-26 to Bath in their previous five away fixtures in all competitions.

Gloucester must find a way to end their five-match losing streak against Bath. However, it will be a tough assignment, as Bath are on a winning streak on their home turf.

Gloucester Team News & Injuries

Scrum-half Charlie Chapman has joined the Exeter Chiefs for the following season.

Freddie Thomas, Cameron Jordan, and Ruan Ackermann dotted down over the try line against Montpellier.

Santiago Carreras kicked over three conversions and a penalty in the match.

Verdict

Bath have enjoyed regular success against Gloucester lately and are tipped to cover the -14.5 handicap.
