Edinburgh vs Bulls Preview

The Bulls away form is very patchy and Jake White often writes these games off with their focus on the URC. I expect Edinburgh to win this one comfortably.

Edinburgh Form

Edinburgh scored three tries and one conversion in the first half against the Lions during their European Challenge Cup round of 16 tie last weekend, going into the break with a 17-0 lead.

Edinburgh added a converted try in the second half to secure a 24-12 win over the Lions.

Before that victory, Edinburgh had defeated Bayonne 52-12, the Glasgow Warriors 10-7, Black Lion 36-15, and lost 22-17 to Zebre before beating the Dragons 38-5 in their previous five home fixtures in all competitions.

Edinburgh will start confidently that they can get the winning result against the Bulls, as they won eight of their last nine home games.

The Bulls scored a penalty, two tries, and a conversion against Bayonne in their round of 16 EPCR Challenge Cup clash weekend, going into the halftime break with a 15-8 lead.

Before that result, the Bulls' previous five away results were a 27-5 loss to Saracens, a 20-17 loss to the Sharks, and a 49-10 loss to the Castres before beating the Lions 35-22 and the Stormers 33-32 in all competitions.

The Bulls performed well in the previous round but have not been able to defeat Edinburgh in the two matches they have played in Scotland.

Verdict

Edinburgh have been in top form at home and are tipped to cover the -2.5 handicap in their EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with the Bulls.
