  • Ospreys have won 7 of their last 8 home matches in all competitions.
  • Lyon have won 6 of their last 8 fixtures in all competitions.
  • Lyon have lost 5 of their last 8 away matches in all competitions.

Head to Head

Ospreys have won both previous encounters against Lyon.

Ospreys Form

The Ospreys scored four tries and three conversions against the Scarlets in their recent round of 16 European Challenge Cup match, going into the break with a 26-7 lead.

The Ospreys added two more tries in the second half to cruise to a 36-14 home win over the Scarlets.

Before that performance, the Ospreys' previous five home games yielded good results. They beat the Scarlets 23-22, Newcastle 35-15, Benetton 43-0, and lost 22-19 to Leinster before beating Connacht 43-40.

The Ospreys have played their best rugby at home this season and will fancy their chances against a Lyon side prone to losing their away fixtures.

Ospreys Team News & Injuries

Adam Beard, Jac Morgan, Rhys Davies, Dewi Lake, Jack Walsh, and Daniel Kasende dotted down over the try line once each against the Scarlets last weekend.

Dan Edwards slotted three conversions in the match.

Lyon Form

Lyon outplayed the Sharks during the first half of the round of 16 European Challenge Cup clash last weekend, scoring four tries, two conversions and a penalty to lead 27-7 at halftime.

In the second half, Lyon scored a converted try against the Sharks to ease to a comfortable 34-21 victory at home.

Lyon drew 25-all against Racing 92, lost 52-24 to Connacht, and beat Bordeaux 22-20 before losing 30-25 to Castres and 28-14 to Bayonne in the previous five away fixtures in all competitions.

Lyon have solid form but have struggled to get consistent victories when playing away from home lately, and they have yet to beat the Ospreys.

Lyon Team News & Injuries

Alexandre Tchaptchet, Yanis Charcosset, Theo William, Josiah Maraku, and Vincent Rattez scored a try each against the Sharks last weekend.

Leo Berdeu kicked over two conversions and a penalty in the match.

Verdict

The Ospreys have been in excellent form at home and are tipped to cover the -7.5 handicap in their EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final tie against Lyon.
