Sharks vs Griquas Predictions
The Griquas will be a spirited outfit but the Sharks look to be hitting their stride as the second half of the Currie Cup begins. I expect it to be a physical and tight affair but late on the Sharks should have too much quality off the bench.

Head to Head
The Sharks beat Griquas 30-16 in their opening round match of the 2021 Currie Cup season. It was a tight contest but the Sharks goal kicking gave them the edge in Kimberley.
The Sharks are currently top of the Currie Cup take despite only winning two of their six matches. They have three draws (all of which were due to points shared because of canceled matches). The Durban-based outfit have however only lost one match.
The Sharks began their season with a 30-16 win at Griquas before narrowly losing out 32-31 in Cape Town to Western Province.
Last week the Sharks beat the Cheetahs 47-30 in Bloemfontein. It was a superb performance by the Sharks who will be looking to keep that momentum against high-flying Griquas.
Sharks Injuries & Team News
The Sharks will be keen on remaining top of the table so they will be at full strength. They have no reported injury concerns.
Griquas are enjoying their best season in recent memory. They are third on the table with three wins from their six matches.
The Kimberley side had a bye last week but prior to that dominated the Lions to win 41-31 at Emirates Airline Park. The week before Griquas caused another upset, coming from behind to beat Western Province 30-28 in Cape Town.
Their away form has been solid and they will be confident despite losing 30-16 to the Sharks on the opening weekend of this Currie Cup season.
Griquas Injuries & Team News
Griquas had a bye last weekend so will be fresh this time around. Expect them to come out firing in the first half as they look to pressure the Sharks into mistakes.
