Sharks vs Griquas Predictions
Griquas beat the Sharks on their last visit to Kings Park just over a month ago so this should be another tight contest. Our best bet is for Griquas to lose by less than 10.

Head to Head
The Sharks have won four of their last five matches against Griquas. This season they have won one apiece with Griquas winning 37-27 in their last match.
The Sharks come into this semi-final as favourites but their season has been rather inconsistent. At the end of July the Sharks suffered a 37-27 home defeat to Griquas, the very opponents of this weekend.
Since that result the Durban-based outfit have beaten the Bulls 35-28 and Cheetahs 38-21 at home, and won 56-14 at the Lions. Those three victories saw the Sharks secure a home semi-final birth with a match to spare.
That match took place last week when they hosted Western Province. Already secure of a spot in the semi’s, the Sharks were never quite at it. Western Province ended up winning 35-24 which allowed the Cape franchise to sneak into the final playoff spot.
Sharks Injuries & Team News
The Sharks have not made changes to their side. Curwin Bosch continues at fullback with Lionel Cronje playing well at flyhalf. Sanele Nohamba also retains his place ahead of Cameron Wright at scrumhalf.
Griquas have enjoyed their best season in more than a decade. While they have always been a very competitive unit, especially at home, they have taken a step up during this Currie Cup campaign.
After a superb start to the season, Griquas looked to be dropping out of the playoff spots a few weeks ago. They lost three matches in a row against the Lions, Bulls and Cheetahs. Prior to that run the Kimberley-based outfit had beaten the Sharks in Durban.
The last two weeks however saw them form return. Griquas beat Western Province 46-25 at home before drawing 13-13 against the Pumas last weekend. It was a cagey match but Griquas knew that avoiding defeat would secure their semi-final spot.
Griquas Injuries & Team News
Griquas have no injury concerns. They are expected to field the same side that played the Pumas last weekend.
