Western Province are top of the Currie Cup table after three rounds of action. They have won two of their three matches.
The Cape Town-based outfit won their opening encounter 48-24 at the Bulls before losing 38-32 to the Lions on the road. Province were comfortably outplayed by the Lions but took full advantage of facing 13 men in the final 10 minutes to score three tries.

They lost 30-16 at home to the Sharks in round one but rebounded to beat the Cheetahs 31-10 in the following match. Griquas dominated all the big facets of the game but they did play against a Cheetahs side missing 13 first choice players.
Last week the Kimberley-based outfit came up just short against the high-flying Pumas. After being well behind by half time, Griquas fought back in the second half to lead at one point, but couldn't hold on as they lost 26-22 in Nelspruit.
