Newcastle Falcons Form

The Newcastle Falcons extended their losing streak to 25 consecutive fixtures in the Premiership after the Sale Sharks won 43-10 last weekend.

Newcastle began the second half trailing by 25 points against their hosts after conceding four converted tries in the first period. They fell further behind five minutes after the start when the Sale Sharks scored another converted try to lead 35-3.

The Falcons responded with a converted try four minutes later to reduce the deficit; however, the Sale Sharks scored the remaining points in the match to cruise to victory.

Newcastle lost 24-3 against the Bristol Bears, 28-14 against the Harlequins, and 42-10 against the Leicester Tigers earlier in the season.

The Newcastle Falcons will try to use their home-ground advantage to end their poor run of form; however, they have lost three in a row against the Exeter Chiefs.

Newcastle Falcons Team News & Injuries

Eighth-man Callum Chick scored the only try for his team against the Sale Sharks last weekend.

Fly-half Ethan Grayson scored one penalty and one conversion in the match.

Exeter Chiefs Form

The Exeter Chiefs lost their fifth successive Premiership match and fourth this season after coming up short against the Bristol Bears last weekend, losing 35-40 at home.

Exeter led 15-12 against the Bristol Bears at the break before stretching their advantage to 20 points in the second half after scoring a penalty and two converted tries after 63 minutes of play.

However, the tide would turn in the favour of Bristol during the remainder of the contest, scoring four tries and three conversations to seal the victory.

Before that, the Exeter Chiefs lost 17-14 against the Leicester Tigers at home, 30-24 against Northampton away, and 29-14 against Saracens away.

Exeter are winless this season but will start confidently against the Newcastle Falcons after scoring four tries in their previous fixture, and they have beaten their opponents four times in five matches.

Wingers Paul Brown-Bampoe and Immanuel Feyi-Waboso scored two tries each against the Bristol Bears.
