France vs Australia Predictions & Tips - France backed to ease to victory over Wallabies

I am backing France to cover the -12 handicap.

Australia have won three of their last four matches against France. That includes a 2-1 series win in Australia during 2021.

France, while not ranked as the No.1 team in the world, are the early favourites on home soil to win the World Cup next year. They are also the Six Nations champions after winning all five matches earlier this year.

The French have built a superb squad over the last few years and are certainly, along with Ireland, the best side in on the planet.

France toured Japan in July but sent a severely weakened side to give their first choice players a rest. They still won the series with relative ease.

Romain Ntamack comes straight into the side after injury. He has not played any rugby since September.

Australia are certainly better than they were two of three years ago but they do lack the quality and physicality to compete on a regular basis against the top sides.

The Wallabies finished third in the Rugby Championship despite losing their opening match to Argentina. They managed to beat South Africa on home soil but lost a week later to the same opposition.

Vast improvement is required ahead of the World Cup next year and this will be the Wallabies final opportunity to play in Europe before the showpiece event.

Jock Campbell will make his Australia debut after impressive showings for the Reds and Australia A. He starts at fullback.
