Ireland vs Fiji Predictions & Tips - Fiji backed in handicap market

Ireland have beaten Fiji in all four of their previous meetings. They last met in 2017 where Fiji came close, losing 23-20 in Dublin in 2017.

Ireland are full of confidence coming into this match. They are the world No.1 ranked side at the moment and beat the world champions, South Africa last weekend.

Finishing second in the Six Nations earlier this year was disappointing for Ireland but the only game they lost was away to France. At home they are close to unbeatable at the moment.

Last weekend Ireland just got over the line with a victory over South Africa. While Ireland were outplayed for large periods, they took their chances while the Springboks lacked a goal kicker of any substance.

While Fiji are not a side you want to take lightly, Ireland will make changes this weekend. They need to give some fringe players a run so expect a number of changes from last weekend.

Fiji, as always, are an exciting team. They will bring flair to Dublin, and if things go their way on the day they will be a dangerous side.

Confidence isn’t great at the moment given that Fiji have lost their last three test matches but form hardly ever plays a big role for them. Last weekend Fiji were very solid especially in the first half against Scotland.

The Pacific Islanders eventually lost 28-12 at Murrayfield but were in the game for large periods. They will be keen on causing an upset in Dublin, something they almost managed on their last visit in 2017.
