My best bet is for Wales to get within 13 points; a victory will be tough but is certainly not out of the question.
- South Africa have won 4 of their last 6 matches.
- South Africa have won 3 of their last 4 against Wales.
- South Africa and Wales have not seen a margin greater than 9 points in their last 11 matches.
- Wales beat South Africa by 1 point last week.
Head to Head
Wales have won five of their last nine matches against the Springboks. South Africa however beat Wales with a last minute penalty in the first Test last week.
South Africa Form
South Africa were expected to comfortably see Wales off in this series after the visitors had a poor Six Nations campaign. It included a defeat to Italy.
Fixtures between these two have historically been very close though and this series has proven just that. Wales had a commanding lead in the first test but the Springboks came back in the second half to take a three point win.
Last week the hosts made 14 changes to their side with a number of debutants. In what was a very average game, South Africa looked to be on course win. Wales however scored in the final minutes and converted from the touchline to secure a 13-12 win and level the series.
There was only one try in the match last week, something both sides will hope to address this time around.
South Africa Injuries & Team News
Jacques Nienaber has made 11 changes to his side this week as he reverts back to his strongest team. Despite dominating last week, the inability of the Springboks to take advantage of the chances created remains a massive issue.
Wales Form
Wales could easily have secured the series by now had they held on in the first Test. Unfortunately a last minute penalty to the hosts saw them go down by three points.
Against a severely weakened South Africa last week Wales did manage to level the series. The concern will be that the Springboks still dominated the majority of the game and arguably should have held on but for a last minute score by Wales.
The 13-12 win will no doubt give Wales plenty of confidence heading into the series decider. It should be another reasonably even contest but one expects the hosts to come out on top.
Wales Injuries & Team News
Wayne Pivac has had a few worries this week especially with captain, Dan Biggar. The team has yet to be announced but it is expected that the captain will be fit.

Verdict
Wales beat the Springboks last week so will be full of confidence. I am backing them to lose this week by less than 13 points.
