Ireland, the number one side in the world rugby rankings, are underdogs for their next outing at the World Cup.
The Irish take on defending champions South Africa on Saturday evening, and are 6/5 underdogs with bookmaker Coral.
The Springboks, the tournament hosts and defending world champions, are 4/5 to prevail in the pick of the action this weekend.
“Ireland can make a big statement at this year’s World Cup with victory over the defending champions this weekend,” Coral’s John Hill told FreeTips.com.
“They are the underdogs in the betting, but there is very little between the two teams.”
Elsewhere, England are 1/1000 to beat Chile in what is likely to be a mismatch, while in the handicap market, England are -49 and Evens to prevail by 50 points or more.
“England should be able to put away Chile with ease,” Hill added.
“They are -49 in the handicap market, so those backing them there will need them to prevail by 50 points or more.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Wales are the marginal 10/11 favourites to defeat Australia, while Scotland are -25 (10/11) in the handicap market against Tonga.
