France have begun their home Rugby World Cup in a very solid if not spectacular way. In the opening match, they saw off New Zealand 27-13.

That was the crucial match of the pool which now should see France top Pool A. Their forwards were largely dominant, and the hosts won the kicking battle against an out-of-sorts All Black side.

Last time out France beat Uruguay 27-12. It was expected to be a one-sided affair, but Uruguay stood up to the hosts and for large periods, an upset looked possible. However, the French quality was too much over 80 minutes, though they failed to secure a bonus point.

France have named their best available side for this clash. Danty returns to 12 from injury while Baille is back in the front-row.

Namibia Form

Namibia have lost both of their opening matches convincingly. They were never really expected to flourish with their big game against Uruguay later in the pool stage.

While the Namibians showed some impressive grit in their opener against Italy, they still lost convincingly 52-8. Last time out they were no match for the All Blacks as the three-time champions ran out 71-3 winners.

Namibia will need to give some squad players a run and this is probably the fixture to do so. With their only match to come against Uruguay, the one they will feel they could possibly win.
