The Rugby Union World Cup gets underway on 8 September 2023 as hosts France take on early tournament favourites New Zealand at the Stade de France.

The All Blacks are pre-tournament favourites at 3.25 with bookmaker bet365. They are closely followed by hosts France at 3.50 and England at 5.00.

South Africa are the defending champions but are surprisingly priced at 6.50 with just over 18 months remaining before kick off. Australia, Ireland and Wales are all handed a very outside chance.
