Rugby World Cup 2023 Odds – Ireland cut to 11/4 to win World Cup after flurry of support

Ireland recorded an impressive 13-8 victory over South Africa during the group stage, and since then bookmaker Coral have seen plenty of support for the Irish to go all the way.

As a result, Ireland are now into 11/4 from 7/2 to lift the trophy on October 28.

However, despite their loss to Ireland in Pool B, the bookies still fancy South Africa to go all the way and make them 5/2 favourites.

“This Rugby World Cup looks wide open at this stage, but Ireland have been the team attracting plenty of support of late,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips.com.

“A convincing victory over Scotland this weekend could catapult them to the head of the betting.”

England, meanwhile, are right out at 10/1, putting them behind South Africa and Ireland, as well as the 7/2 duo of France and New Zealand.

“We’d usually see plenty of patriotic support for England at this stage in the tournament,” Knowles added.

“However, Steve Borthwick’s side have yet to really capture the public’s imagination so far, and they’ll be hoping a convincing victory over Samoa on Saturday afternoon can really kick-start their campaign.”
