England may not be fancied to win the Rugby World Cup, but they are expected to advance to the semi-finals this weekend.

The knockout stages are here, with the quarter-final matches taking place over the course of Saturday and Sunday.

And although England are relatively unfancied at 12/1 to win the tournament outright, they are odds-on at 1/3 with Coral to get past Fiji in Sunday’s showdown.

Steve Borthwick’s side have yet to truly convince they are genuine contenders, but a convincing victory over Fiji could be just what they need to kick-start their campaign.

“We have not seen much support for England at all in our outright betting for the Rugby World Cup,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips.com.

“But if they can put on a show against Fiji on Sunday, then maybe we’ll see some support for Steve Borthwick’s side.

“Ireland are the team that punters have wanted to side with so far, and although they are odds-on at 8/11 to beat New Zealand in their quarter-final, that will be a real stern test for Andy Farrell’s side.”
