Every year the Six Nations is largely determined by the fixtures and how they fall. Because their last six teams (five games), naturally you will have one more home or away game, so they alternate each year.
France won the 2022 Six Nations title before Ireland won the 2023 tournament. Those have been the dominant sides recently and each year the winner has faced the other at home. This year, France host Ireland in the opening game – what a way to get the tournament underway.
England have a great chance to put early points on the board in Italy, but the Italians were very good last year. Wales and Scotland play at the Principality to end the opening weekend in what could be a cracking encounter.
