Andy Farrell’s side have only lost one match in this campaign. That defeat (30-24) came in France in round two of the tournament. Since then Ireland have thrashed Italy at home and last week defeated England 32-15 at Twickenham.

It was a very tight match until the final 10 minutes when Ireland pulled away. England did however play with 14 men for 78 minutes of the match.

Farrell has made three changes for this must-win clash. James Ryan and Ryan Baird have both been ruled out fo the match which means Iain Henderson comes into the second row.

Scotland will be somewhat disappointed with their campaign thus far. It began on such a high with victory at home against England.

They then lost narrowly in Wales before seeing France beat them 36-17 at Murrayfield. That was perhaps Scotland’s worst performance considering their recent history against the French.

Last week a weakened Scotland side beat Italy 33-22 in Rome. It was perhaps tighter than Gregor Townsend would have liked in the end but the job was nevertheless done.
