Wales vs England Predictions & Tips - Upset on the cards in low scoring match

Wales will be confident and playing at home will make them a difficult proposition after winning their opening two matches. My best bet is for Wales to lose by less than seven points and possibly win.

England have won three of their last five matches against Wales. They met in the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup where England won 24-13 at Parc y Scarlets. In the 2020 Six Nations, England won 33-30 at Twickenham.

Wales produced one of their worst years in 2020 but have bounced back well in 2021. It must be said that Wales have been fortunate in the opening two weeks of action.

On the first weekend, Wales beat Ireland 21-16 at home. That after Ireland had a decent lead but had to play with 14 men following a red card. 

In their second match, Wales traveled to Murrayfield to face Scotland. In what was a very competitive match, Wales won 25-24. Scotland, much like Ireland the week prior, had to play a large chunk of the match with 14 men after a red card.

Wales welcome George North and centre partner, Jonathan Davies back for this clash. They have both been out with injury. This will be North’s 100th appearance for Wales.

Keiran Hardy starts at scrumhalf ahead of Gareth Davies while Aaron Wainwright makes way for fit again, Josh Navidi.

After winning the 2020 Six Nations, England came into the 2021 edition as favourites alongside France. That took a knock on the opening weekend as England suffered a shock 11-6 defeat at home against Scotland.

While their bid for the title was not ended by that result, it was a severe dent in their chances. England needed to bounce back well and they did with a 41-18 victory at home against Italy.

It was a match England were always expected to win comfortably. This week a confident Welsh outfit will pose a very different threat.

George Ford will remain at flyhalf with captain, Owen Farrell at inside centre. There are no major reshuffles in the England team ahead of this clash.
