The Highlanders are rooted to 11th place on the Super Rugby table with just four points from their opening four games. Those points came in their last match, their first win of the season.

In round one the Highlanders went down 60-20 at home to the Blues. It was followed by a 52-15 defeat at the Crusaders. Another heavy defeat followed, this time to the Chiefs (28-7).

Last week the Dunedin-based outfit eventually got some points, beating the Western Force 43-35. Their defence was still very leaky but at least they got over the line.

There are likely to be some changes from the Highlanders for this fixture.

Fijian Drua Form


Fijian Drua have started this season in superb fashion, winning two and losing two games. They are nowhere near title challengers but the start they’ve made has been more than competitive.

A 36-34 victory over Moana to kick the season off was the perfect start. Drua then lost 46-17 to the Waratahs, but it was 17-all at the halfway point.

Drua then upset the odds, beating weakened Crusaders side 25-24 before losing 27-24 to the Reds last weekend.

Drua are expected to remain unchanged unless there are fresh injuries that have yet to be reported.
