The Chiefs are not the best travelers with only three wins in their last 11 away matches. The Waratahs have enough on attack to cause the visitors problems to I’m backing the Sydney side to lose by less than 22 points.

Head to Head
Chiefs have won their last three matches against the Waratahs. The last meeting between the two took place in Super Rugby 2020 where the Chiefs won 51-14.
The Waratahs are having a nightmare season. They lost all eight matches during Super Rugby AU and have also lost their four trans-Tasman fixtures.
On attack the Waratahs have actually been really good during the tournament. They have scored 120 points in their four matches, the highest of all the Australian sides. Unfortunately, they have also conceded the most with 225 points against.
The Tahs’ lost 64-48 to the Hurricanes in round one. They then flew to Auckland where they lost 48-21 to the Blues before suffering a 54-28 defeat at home to the Crusaders.
Last weekend the Waratahs lost 59-23 in Dunedin against the Highlanders.

Hugh Sinclair,Tetera Faulkner and James Ramm all come into the starting lineup this week.
Jack Maddocks, Jakes Gordon and Dave Porecki are all absent from the squad.
The Chiefs go into the final round of matches in fifth place but need plenty to go their way to reach the final. They will need two of the Highlanders, Crusaders and Hurricanes to lose this weekend.
On the opening weekend the Chiefs narrowly beat the Western Force 20-19 in Perth before seeing off the Brumbies 40-19 at home. Round three saw the Chiefs lose 40-34 at the Reds which was the first defeat for a New Zealand side in the competition.
That defeat set the Chiefs back on the table. They did bounce back to beat the Rebels 36-26 at home last weekend but it does not look to be enough to make the final.

The only change to the Chiefs starting lineup sees Sean Wainui come in on the left wing. The rest of the starting side remains the same.
