While the Force have endured a tough season, the table is very tight near the bottom which has put them in a position to still make the playoffs. However, this is almost a must-win fixture for them with two tough games to come.

The Force surprised the Crusaders a few weeks ago, winning 37-15 at home. It was followed by a one-point loss at the Highlanders before the Chiefs thrashed them 56-7 in Hamilton. Last week the Western Force beat Fijian Drua 48-10 at home in a near perfect performance.

Waratahs Form

The Waratahs are bottom of the Super Rugby table with 12 points and just two wins from their 11 games to date. They do, however, still have an outside chance of making the playoffs if they can win this weekend and back it up in their last two games.

The Tahs’ have had a strange season with both their victories coming against the Crusaders. They have lost a few very tight games that could easily have fallen in their favour.

Last week the Sydney-based outfit lost 29-21 at home to the Brumbies. Prior to that they suffered a 16-point defeat to the Chiefs and a 29-point loss to the Hurricanes.
