Last week, Cardiff beat the Dragons 24-22 away from home in a Welsh derby. They will hope for a repeat result on New Years Day in front of their home fans.

Cardiff played on Boxing Day which means they have far less rest period ahead of this clash. I’d be surprised if there aren’t a number of rotations to the side.

Ospreys come into his game in need of a boost and there is no better way than to win a derby. They are currently 14th on the URC table with three victories from their eight games.
Last time out the Ospreys managed a crucial 23-22 home win over the Scarlets. In what was a very tight contest from the opening minute, the hosts got over the line thanks to their superior set piece.
Prior to that, the Ospreys were thrashed at Montpellier 59-15 in the Challenge Cup after beating the Lions at home the week before.
